In fish production, fish farmers attach great importance to extending the service life of nets. If you want to do a good job, you must first sharpen your tools. Here are a few essentials for your reference.
1. Requirements for the color of nets
Production practice has shown that fish respond differently to the color of the nets. Generally, white net fish is not easy to enter the net, and even if it enters the net, it is easy to escape. Therefore, fishnets are generally made of brown or light blue, blue-gray network cables. These colors can not only improve the catch rate, but also prolong its service life. At present, most nets are braided with nylon or polyethylene threads. After the cotton yarn is woven, it is dyed brown-red with salt-based brown pigment, persimmon oil, etc. Staining is generally performed prior to assembly.
2. Scientific management of nets
To prolong the life of your nets, you should:
①When the net is in use, avoid contact with sharp objects to avoid cutting the net.
②If you encounter an obstacle after the net is in the water, try to remove it, and do not pull it hard, so as not to cut the bottom net or tear the net. In case the net is hooked by an obstacle or cut by a sharp tool during the operation, it must be repaired in time. After each operation of the nets, the dirt attached to the nets and the mucus of the fish should be cleaned, and then put into storage after drying. The warehouse should be cool, dry and ventilated.
③ The fishing net should be placed on a net frame with a certain height from the ground, or hung on a crossbar to prevent accumulation and heat generation.
④ Fishing gear dyed with tung oil should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, and should not be stacked to prevent spontaneous combustion due to thermal oxidation. After the fishnets are put into the warehouse, always check whether they are moldy, hot or wet due to leaking rain from the windows and roofs. If any problems are found, they should be dealt with in time to avoid damage to the nets.
